MC, a leading company in Portugal’s food retail sector through its stores Continente, continuously seeks to enhance the efficiency and flexibility of its application landscape. As part of this ongoing improvement strategy, the company set out to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of its deployments and reduce dependency from cloud providers.
A key challenge was understanding how to avoid vendor lock-in and assess the reengineering required to transform its application stack for a specific set of applications into cloud-native, portable solutions – fully decoupled from the underlying infrastructure.
In partnership with Ten Twenty One, MC carried out a comprehensive cloud-agnostic assessment to evaluate the current architecture of those applications, identify cloud-native dependencies, and define the steps needed to enable true portability across cloud environments. The result was a detailed report outlining strategic insights and concrete actions to achieve cloud-agnostic status.
This collaboration delivered a clearly defined roadmap for transforming those applications into portable solutions, alongside infrastructure savings and greater architectural flexibility — enabling MC to grow with agility, free from the limitations of a single cloud provider.

“With Ten Twenty One, MC gained full clarity on how to decouple our application stack from any single cloud provider.
A clear, actionable roadmap that gives true flexibility to scale.
In public administration and public finance, for example, with tight budgets and growing demands, governments are turning to innovative and accountable approaches to financial management to do more with less while delivering for communities. In health and human services, advanced data integration tools supported by robust governance and security features are being used to combine siloed data for collaborative, proactive whole-person care and integrated eligibility. Streamlined eligibility and enrolment processes improve access to essential programs, creating a more integrated and efficient public health and social services support system. Responsible uses of AI are being used to identify fraud and poor service provider performance.
